Five-year fixed rates are back down to where they were in 2017! They should remain low for the rest of the year. This is really good news if your mortgage is coming up for renewal this year or you are refinancing.

Five-year fixed-rates are now almost at the same level as variable rates, which is very unusual.
Variable rates are typically half-a-percent lower, which compensates for the fact that unlike a locked-in fixed rate, they can fluctuate.
